Recruitment privacy notice

Aven Media, an initiative of Aven Ventures, receives and reviews information provided by people who apply for internships or professional roles, and by influencers and creators who express interest in collaborations. This notice explains the intended handling of recruitment and collaboration enquiry data.

Information collected

We collect information voluntarily provided by applicants and creators, such as name, email, telephone number, location, education, professional skills, availability, responses to screening questions, and relevant CV, cover letter, portfolio, public social profile links, content sectors, follower counts, audience estimates or media kit materials. We do not request government IDs, financial details, health records or other sensitive personal data.

Why we use it

We use submissions to assess suitability for vacancies or proposed creator collaborations, communicate about recruitment or project opportunities and, where relevant, make selection or partnership decisions. We do not sell applicant information or use it for unrelated marketing.

Where it is stored and shared

Application forms and attachments are handled using Wix Forms and its associated storage and dashboard tools. Access should be limited to authorised people managing Aven Media recruitment. Because the company operates across countries and Wix provides international hosting services, applicant information may be processed outside Uganda and Sweden subject to the platform’s applicable safeguards.

Retention

Applications should be retained only as long as necessary to complete recruitment and resolve related enquiries. Our intended retention period for unsuccessful applicants or collaboration enquiries is no longer than six months after the relevant selection process ends, unless applicable law requires a different period or the person separately agrees to future contact. Records for successful candidates may be handled under a separate engagement notice.

Your choices and rights

You can request access, correction or deletion of your recruitment information, and ask questions about how it is used, by writing to media@avenventures.com. A request to delete information may limit our ability to assess your application. Applicable rights and legal grounds may vary by jurisdiction. If your concerns remain unresolved, you may contact the relevant data-protection authority.
